I apologize if the slip of paper appears to be unreadable, I couldn’t take one picture together because it would have caused the text to become too blurry.
What you can assume, from this little FAQ is how we’re supposed to answer the following questions if a customer ever asks, is the price of our food, most notably the McDouble’s, price has increased. As you can see, the answer as to why the price doesn’t really give any sort of causality. We all know the effect, but we don’t know the cause. I’m sure many of us have faced this situation where a customer asks, “why did the price go up” without such a handy device at our side such as this and the end result is still the same, getting yelled at. I’ve seen earlier meme’s on this Tumblr Page’s history complaining about such incidences. It’s not even the manager’s decision to increase prices like this, the decisions come from the franchisee or the corporation itself.
I have an theory as to why these prices keep increasing so much, more so in the last six months. Recently there’s this bill called the Affordable Care Act that was recently enacted, I don’t know if anyone here has heard of it, what it is is it’s a tax increase and it’s really silly if you think about it. What happens is well think of a company or a business as a person, it makes money, it pays taxes it has debt, it has debtors, and it’s primary goal is to make money. So when there is an increase in taxes or debt, it makes it a goal of trying to obtain or save more money to pay for it, in this case McDonald’s is increasing its prices to maintain the same profit they’ve always made. You have to ask the question, who would willingly want to eat the cost of a massive tax increase like this? So McDonald’s does the only sensible thing, and that’s to increase its prices in order to pay for it. I just find it hilarious that they’d just tape this thing to the register as sort of a guide if we’re ever faced with these questions.
I have no idea how to tag this.
I usually expect much more from FYRR, or at the very least, much less poor commentary. This looks like it was written with the forethought of a 7-year-old.
The ACA is not what caused the increase in prices, please don’t suggest to your followers that it is.
